The UAE is currently one of the largest markets in the world for civil and military aircraft, with strong demand for aircraft equipment, parts and services. In addition to growing fleet and fleet maintenance requirements in both sectors, there is significant investment in establishing domestic MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) and advanced aerostructure and composite part manufacturing facilities and capabilities.
Opportunities for U.S. companies include fleet equipment, parts and services sales to both operators and leasing companies; sourcing aircraft parts and components, including advanced aerospace composite structures and components; and building MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) facilities and capabilities. Key projects include the Abu Dhabi Airports Company’s (ADAC) center for aerospace manufacturing and services firms, the Advanced Military Maintenance and Repair and Overhaul Center (AMMROC) in Abu Dhabi, and the STRATA advanced composite structures manufacturing facility.
